In my post about that old Crown Vic I unintentionally posted a phrase that could be taken like I'm a racist. My bad, sorry guys. I didn't proof read. Have an old Saab I saw as a tribute.

No worries. It's something we all have to be aware of in our day to day dealings. It's hard, because as we try to describe a scene, we often don't realize that what seems like a harmless descriptor may not be harmless to some. We know you had no intent with it. But we all have to be careful. Nice Saab.

Yeah... Sorry. This is the good side of the car, the passenger fender is almost completely missing due to rust. The interior was nice though.

Can you change your tag to Uncle Ruckus for today? It'd humor me greatly. And I read the post, wasn't that bad, any of us would have said the same.
I made an indirectly potentially offensive joke in an email that I didn't think was so bad but one of my co-workers shot me an email and said to be careful with what I said because someone else had gotten in trouble previously for similar. Wellll said email had a question asking about XYZ. Thus it was forwarded to multiple people outside of our normal close knit work group. Directors and managers all got it and chimed in but thankfully nobody saw or cared about my quip.
But still, props to you for manning up and being proactive in your apology.

Secondly, dude you're fine. You said "sketchy black teenager" to describe the guy's appearance. I'd probably describe myself a few years back as a "sketchy white teenager."
